Why Is Fitness Important for Golfers?

Golf-specific fitness training optimizes your body for golf. No matter your age or skill level, training mobility and strength will help gain distance and consistency out on the golf course. Additionally, and more importantly, it can help prevent injury.

Why Is Gold Core Different?

Coach Sam Gold leads our team of elite professional coaches in their work with Tour players and recreational amateurs alike. We provide a one-of-a-kind experience for players at all levels to achieve their most consistent game out on the course. Sam is also a golfer, he knows what golfers need and helps from his experience playing and studying the game.

How Often Should I Train?

For most players, golf fitness training sessions are typically recommended 2-4 times per week. Together with some practice time at the range and on the course, golfers start to feel game improvement in 2-3 weeks.

4 Pillars Of Strength

Improving your body’s ability to generate power from the ground up will add distance and consistency while helping prevent injury.

1. Mobility

We will begin with creating a mobile body. Working on specific movement patterns to help create a more powerful and repeatable golf swing. Mobility will also help with injury reduction.

2. POWER

Learning to load, or store, maximum energy then sequentially release it through impact with maximum efficiency means maximum power. We will utilize different techniques and exercises to increase power production and increase overall hitting distance.

4. Strength

When you think strength, think stability & control. By improving golf-specific functional strength, the body has more control during the golf swing. We will strengthen the entire body down to the core. Creating consistency with your golf swing.

4. COnditioning

We end each session with a conditioning segment. Being able to have consistent energy and power throughout an entire round of golf is important. This will ensure your body is just as strong on the 18th hole as it was on the 1st.
